Trizzy Don succeeds again on 2nd single, "Tunnel Vision"
On just his second overall single, Trizzy Don is already making a statement in his discography, but especially so on “Tunnel Vision”. Please read along with us as we break down our complete thoughts on the track, as well as a background on the artist.
Featuring a folksy acoustic guitar, groovy rhythms, and the sweet serene vocals of Trizzy Don himself, we can confidently state that his sophomore single “Tunnel Vision” is a winner. For the fans out there of SZA, Billie Eilish, Cautious Clay, and more, this is certainly down your alley of listening. Let it be known right now though that Trizzy Don isn’t ripping off anyone’s sound, in fact he’s brought his own signature sound to a genre that’s needed this change badly.
Following up his debut single “405”, this artist has generally stripped back the sound and delivered a vocal and lyrical-focused performance that definitely piques the listener to perk up and focus. Using his unique storytelling capabilities and breaking things down clearly within the images he’s defining, Trizzy Don is expressing the meaning of “Tunnel Vision”, mainly pointing out the difficulty of being left in the dark in a relationship and only wanting that other person.
As a self made singer, songwriter, producer, mixing engineer, and mastering engineer, he’s recently evolved his sound into multiple genres; a sort of rebranding. Mixing up glimmers of R&B and alternative music, “Tunnel Vision” is honest in its message, but calming and relaxing in its sound. The very obvious highlight of our multiple listens at this point has been his vocals, we really can’t overstate the overwhelming amount of calm that has washed over us after listening through. For us, it was the type of song you can pop on at any point of the day to hear a compelling story or zone out too.
There’s zero doubt in our collective minds that whatever Trizzy Don has been cooking up in the studio for future releases is going to be perfect for future listening. At this point he’s gone 2 for 2 with releases under the new moniker and we’re here for the future ride of his ever evolving sound. We can’t help but recommend and suggest you take the time out of your busy days to not only check out “Tunnel Vision”, but “405” as well.
