Tori Boltwood highlights a relatable message on "Drown"

She’s on a roll! Yet again, we’re seeing another lovely and consistently beautiful single coming from Tori Boltwood titled “Drown”. Please read along as we break down our thoughts on the track, as well as a background on this emerging artist.

Following up a handful of singles that have moved us emotionally this year, Tori Boltwood may have just released her best yet, “Drown”. According to the artist, this particular track is a romantic and high energy ballad. She aims to explore the view of modern love and dives into the personal side of it in her deep and complex lyricism. We are overwhelmingly recommending a listen as soon as possible.

In a world of dating that can often feel shallow and empty, it’s music like this that can restore a sense of hope. Relating effortlessly to the lyrics that Tori Boltwood has put together, she’s created a super intimate and poetic stance on modern love. In her eyes she thinks it could be on a soundtrack for the next big romantic series, and to be honest, that’s exactly how we envisioned it almost instantly after beginning our listening. The setting, vibe, and atmosphere just fit too perfectly.

While the song certainly takes a closer look at these relatable issues so much of the world deals with, Tori has still created a legitimate piece of art and beauty on an isolated single. As much as we loved it, we’d also like to hear her take on an EP or even a full length album of ideas just like this. We feel that creating one uniformed sound on a cohesive record would make for something memorable. We know how difficult the idea is for a full record, so no pressure on Tori!

Needless to say though, we’re quite obviously recommending a listen to “Drown” as we feel that it’s just the type of mood music you all need in your lives. She’s an insanely talented performer and her vocals are on another level of amazing. With so much music released recently as well, you should check that out too to get the full Tori Boltwood experience.
