Tom Craven puts the finishing touches on long-awaited single, "New Signals"
Continuing the rollout of what’s shaping up to be an exceptional album, Tom Craven has just shared another immaculate teaser single called “New Signals”. Do yourselves a favor and check out our full review below, as well as an update on the artist.
Slightly over a month ago, we had the opportunity to review Tom Craven’s last single “Let It Fall (My December)”, so you can only imagine our sheer joy to know that another one was headed our way. This time around his latest is titled “New Signals” and once again it comes off as another powerful, emotion-filled, and vocal led ballad that sucks you in with a compelling story and heartfelt message. Of course, we’re quite excited for everyone out there to get their ears on this as soon as possible.
Providing us with another close look into the meaning of it all, Tom has said this is “an anthem for those who have loved and lost over the turbulent past few years”. Whether you have or haven’t experienced loss or distress, there’s a solid chance that you’ve heard the stories and can sympathize with those who have. This song for us felt like it was acting as a shoulder to lean on or a friend offering a hug in those trying times. It 100% feels like that considering Tom’s voice consistently has a warm and approachable feel to it. Honestly the more we’ve listened and enjoyed Tom’s music, the easier it is to say that he’s mastered the art of creating these sentimental and ultimately living, breathing, pieces of art. Not only are they relatable, but they’re sonically impressive in terms of their minimalism and attention to detail.
Even better, this song has actually been in the works for nearly four years now, going through many different iterations and changes. Initially previewed at a small acoustic show in October of 2019, the song has gained a cult following with his fans, so we can fully rejoice on their behalf knowing that it’s finally seen the light of day. Obviously so much in the world has changed over those past four years, hence the time it’s taken for “New Signals”, but we can now confidently claim that the final product was worth waiting for.
As more music continues to be shared, we’ll make sure to update. For now you can click the links below to listen, follow along, and of course to stay tuned for all future releases and information.
