Ticky over delivers on meaningful & vibrant single, "Wasted"

Kicking things off with a slightly disco-inspired electronic production, Ticky has led the way with her dynamic vocals on top of this anthemic new song, “Wasted”. From beginning to end, this artist has approached the music with an open, honest, and vulnerable display of lyricism, exploring deep themes in the process. As this was our introduction to Ticky overall, we didn’t quite know what to expect from the get go, but she’s left us with a positive and uplifting feeling overall. Without a doubt, it’s a song and an artist we highly recommend checking out.
On the background of it all, “Wasted” is a song that “documents the mental struggle with rising from an emotional fall - one of life's hardships that is undeniably relatable for every person”. As an opportunity for this musician to offer a soulful and heartfelt experience, we’re overjoyed and thrilled that she’s still managed to infuse so much originality and freshness at the same time. With so many elements of an electronic production, you’ll undoubtedly find yourself grooving and most likely dancing during this two and a half minute track. Although our only real “complaint” is that it’s too short, there’s nothing stopping you from listening twice.
As someone like Ticky who’s no stranger to music in the slightest, it’s no wonder that she’s able to craft up these intoxicating melodies as well. That surely has added to the extreme catchiness of it all, a major factor in our love for this song. Truly, this really does feel like one of the more well rounded and complete listens that’s come our way in a while. In every sense, it’s not lacking in any categories, is dense with passion, and is 100% something that we’ll be coming back to in the near future. Additionally, we can’t wait to further explore the rest of her tunes!
