Giving us all the information we needed surrounding the newest documentary Unveiled, we got the special opportunity to speak with Whitney Tai and Michael Ciravolo all about the inner workings of this wonderful project. Please listen to our full interview below.
On the heels of the newest album release from Beauty in Chaos, it was only right that a full documentary be created surrounding the record, Behind The Veil. To give a background, ultimately the film “explores the decision to use an all female vocal lineup and the creative process involved with each of the artists”. During our conversation with Whitney and Michael, they so eloquently explained the process of putting the doc together and really just how special of a process it was to create as a whole. We’d urge everyone to not only listen to the album, but to take the time and experience the behind the scenes of it all.
If you’ve listened already, you probably already made the realization that Behind The Veil includes a cast of immensely talented female singers and songwriters. The documentary includes much needed insight and commentary from Elena Alice Fossi (Kirlian Camera), Whitney Tai, Tish Ciravolo, Pinky Turzo (Silver Ghost Shimmer), Betsy Martin (Caterwaul, Purr Machine), and Cinthya Hussey. Sprinkled into the commentary during the film, Grammy nominated producer Michael Rozon and the artists involved in the remixes tell their compelling stories as well.
As for the music itself, we made ourselves extremely clear during our interview that it simply blew us away. From start to finish, you’re immediately immersed into this atmospheric world of infinite style, sound, and possibilities. It was a focal point of our chat, but the intent to focus on creating the “album experience” is one of the many reasons why the record stands out so much. Additionally, you might fall in love with a new artist that’s featured on the record, as each of them have their own discography that is 100% worth taking the time to check out.
