The Louisiana Project open up on long-awaited EP, "When My Time Comes" - Interview

Getting the band back together was the best thing The Louisiana Project could’ve done! We got the opportunity to speak with JJ Eaton all about the band’s latest EP, When My Time Comes. Check out our interview below.

Made up of five longtime friends who ultimately decided it’s better late than never to make new music, we’re absolutely thrilled they did, because When My Time Comes was a fantastic listen. Made up of JJ Eaton (Guitar/Vocals), Mike Mcquaid (Drums), James Myers IV (Drums), Jake Kubin (Guitar), and Rob Hatten (Bass), The Louisiana Project are a group that are spread all over the United States. Luckily for us, we spoke with frontman JJ Eaton for a tell all discussion on the band’s newest release.

Taking all of their equal skills and ultimately creating something that is universally loved amongst the group, we know how difficult it can be to try to put something together remotely. Thankfully though due to the advances in music creation and communicating, these boys managed to make it work, and made something that is equal parts meaningful and lyrically creative. Getting to speak with JJ was a true honor considering it seemed like a longshot that the record would even come together. However, after hearing the in’s and out’s of the process, it looks like there may just be a follow up from The Louisiana Project coming sometime in 2022.

As for the music, they’ve expertly blurred the lines of Americana, bits of Country, and classic Rock to really capture all the sounds of the musical spectrum. It’s surely not something that you’d hear on Top 40 radio as we discussed, however their creation here is something that’s 100% special, unique, and worth your time to give a listen to. Of course we also recommend checking out our conversation in order to really get into the thought process side and a much needed behind the scenes too.

With all that being said, do yourselves a favor and check out those links below where you can listen, follow along, and stay tuned for everything else on the way. Enjoy!
