Basil Sanchez & the Dummies share parody record, "The Dummies Sing Some Dummy to Love Vol 1"

Parodying some of music’s greatest songs, Basil Sanchiez & the Dummies have just released their latest record, The Dummies Sing Some Dummy to Love Vol 1. Please read on for our full review of the record, as well as a background on the band.

With members from Florida and Australia, but now all based around Ohio, Basil Sanchez’ newest album The Dummies Sing Some Dummy to Love Vol 1 is a parody record that covers some of music’s most well known songs. One of the coolest things is that this record is actually the soundtrack to the band’s new film, Dummies Meet Dracula. We’re definitely recommending you check out both, but you must start with the album.

Considering these projects took cumulatively two years to put together, the band has shown their heart and soul in every single second shown. What we feel they’ve done here is really expressed that they’re not taking themselves too seriously, rather having an absolute blast in the process to make music that’s bringing smiles to people’s faces. For example, “Some dummy to Love” and “Rock your hole all night” are prime examples of a bunch of guys having a grand old time making music.

Seeing as though their debut record Dummies and Friends came out in 2019, they’ve been hard at work over the past couple years to get these works finished up. While we haven’t seen the film just yet, we can still confidently claim that both are worthy to check out due to our positive remarks on the record. So much music that comes our way is typically overproduced in certain terms, but it’s changes of pace like this that will have us coming back for more when we need to brighten our days up.

With all that being said, don’t think twice, go ahead and please check out The Dummies Sing Some Dummy to Love Vol 1, in addition to following along with the band to stay up to date for everything else on the way. Enjoy!
