Sophia B creates immersive listening experience on "Guardians"
Evolving her sound even more and simply blowing our minds with her newest single “Guardians”, we’re loving Sophia B’s latest offering. Please read on for our full review of the track, as well as a much needed background on the artist.
Drawing from her experiences during the height of lockdown in New York, Sophia B has crafted up the perfect hybrid track featuring some seriously compelling tones of electronic and pop fusion. Bringing her creative songwriting into the mix as well, she enlisted some help from Sebastian Carreyrou to help compose the piece. All together, it was really an exquisite introduction to the artist.
With a handful of successful releases coming from Sophia B over the past year, we’re beyond thrilled that she’s ending the year with this massive track. In our opinion, her best is yet to come, especially because 2022 is most likely going to be her biggest year yet. She’s got concerts, festivals, and we can only assume more music on the way as well. Once you give a listen to “Guardians”, you’ll certainly be sold on this emerging artist.
Getting more into the song though, realistically there’s only major positives we can point out here. The way Sophia B’s vocals resonate throughout the song is one thing, but we also have to pay special attention to the incredible production and instrumentation that shows itself. The song would be impressive on its own with just the instrumental, but with so many fun and explosive elements showing themselves too, the song really does come full circle to create the perfect full package. Immediately you’re immersed into her world and she doesn’t let go right until the closing notes. It’s a full on listening experience rather than just your standard song with a story.
