The Arcadeans make a statement with return single, "99 Reasons"

Serving up their first single release since 2019, The Arcadeans are back and better than ever with “99 Reasons”. Please keep reading for an in-depth look at the track, in addition to a background on the band.

Currently representing the music scene in Cork, Ireland, The Arcadeans are delicately blending a rock-based mix that spans decades of sound and style. Influenced by some of the greats like Green Day, The Rolling Stones, and many more, they’ve still managed to bring a whole lot of originality and personality into their music. After a three year hiatus, their follow up to the 2019 EP Miles & Miles has surpassed all of our expectations and we’re highly recommending all give a listen.

Recorded at Claycastle Studios and appearing to be part of a bigger project that’s soon to be announced, The Arcadeans have truly knocked it out of the park with “99 Reasons”. On the initial listen, you’re immediately hit in the face with a wall of sound of powerful crunchy guitars that are only amplified by the lead singer’s emotion-filled vocal delivery. With a real edge and attitude that simmers from beginning to end, you can almost feel the pent up angst of the two years of lockdown that the band endured when they weren’t able to record. Thankfully though with the world slowly opening back up, we’re hoping that this marks a new era for The Arcadeans with a whole slew of music on the way and set for release.

In fact, this single specifically is now out on the International Pop Overthrow compilation CD, as it rightfully should be. With an immense amount of energy jam-packed into every moment of this three minute track, it’s got our hype levels rising for what else might be on the way. Considering that the band so perfectly borders the line of that classic rock and punk feel, we hope that the follow up sounds similar to this, but won’t be upset if they go on a tangent and experiment a bit. As long as that signature essence comes through in the mix, consider us major fans for the foreseeable future!
