Bobby Pinson teases his long-awaited single, "The Shave"
Releasing his first new piece of music in nearly 15 years, legendary hitmaker Bobby Pinson is gearing up to share “The Shave”! Read on for a closer look into the track, as well as a much needed background on this artist.
For those out of the loop, Bobby Pinson is single handedly responsible for some of the biggest hits of the last 10 years coming from country stars like Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, and infinitely more. With his last record Man Like Me coming out in 2005 and the immense success of “Don’t Ask Me How I Know”, it’s been a little bit since we’ve seen anything with Bobby’s name on it. However, coming on August 12th, this artist has heard what the fans want and is giving us what we need, a brand new single that’s called “The Shave”. We were lucky enough to preview the song and oh has it delivered in a big way.
As a GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and artist, Bobby has undoubtedly been a key player in so many massive stars’ success, but now’s the time for him to make his way back into a personal limelight. You can safely assume that with so many hits under his belt, he’s saved some of the best for himself, and from what we’ve heard on “The Shave” that sentiment seems fair. While we’ve included the pre-save link below so that it’ll pop up on release day, we can let you know right now that this is one of the more personal and heartfelt sounding songs we’ve experienced in quite a while. Bobby’s signature charm lies in his complex lyricism, which is exactly where the focal point of this track lies.
Paired with an even keeled vocal structure and a relatively stripped back instrumentation, it’s just the type of song we were hoping to hear. All this time later and it’s hard not to make the comparison to “Don’t Ask Me How I Know”, but they’re both proving to be winners. In our opinion though, Bobby doesn’t need anything flashy to get his point across, rather the artistry and pure musicianship speaks for itself. Not to give too much away, but we can only imagine that he’ll slowly be teasing clips and information on his social media in the coming weeks.
