Chelsea Valentine lights it up on synth-fueled single, "Wire"
On just her second overall single titled “Wire”, Chelsea Valentine has delivered something so perfectly that blends the old with the new. Keep reading for a closer look into the track, as well as a much needed background on this emerging artist.
Based out of Sydney, Australia, Chelsea Valentine is an artist who we can already see ourselves becoming fans of for years to come. On her newest song called “Wire”, she’s so delicately infused touches of electronics, synth-pop, with an 80’s feel attached to it. Instantly catchy right off the first listen, her vocals soar high and it’s serving as a wonderful follow up to her debut, “Without You”. Needless to say, we’re highly recommending everyone out there give this a play as soon as you can.
Chelsea put it best herself when she said that this song “transports you back to the future”, all the while feeling refreshingly new. With the music industry, more specifically the pop genre, turning back the clock and focusing in on vintage elements like this, Chelsea’s taken that signal and positively ran with it herself. Although she’s still very much at the beginning of a prosperous career, so many emerging artists take time to try to nail down a niche and see what works. With that being said though, we sincerely love this style for her and her dynamic vocals pair effortlessly with the tone and mood that “Wire” gives off.
At three minutes even in runtime, there’s a certain versatility that it holds to be played back for a nice quick dose of energy and enthusiasm. Considering it’s the hot weather months where we’re located in Los Angeles, it’s music just like this that’s undoubtedly going to soundtrack our summers, beach days, and long drives on the highway. The lighthearted and airy feel that “Wire” gives off is one thing, but it also toes the line of feeling nostalgic even though it was released today. In our eyes, Chelsea Valentine has gone two for two in terms of single releases thus far and we sincerely can’t wait to see how she follows this one up in the hopefully near future.
