Flamingo Haze shows off their latest single, "I know" - Interview

Further expanding their sound for something incredibly special, Flamingo Haze are back with another one titled “I know”, and we got the chance to sit and speak with the band all about it. Please check out our interview below.

For those out of the loop, Flamingo Haze are a Midwest-based band consisting of David Klocek (rhythm guitar & lead vocals), Scout Klocek (bass & backup vocals), Daniel Asher (drums) and Vlad Danilkovich (lead guitar and backup vocals). Together they’re crafting a completely eclectic mix of sounds that pull from alternative, electronic, and beyond. On their latest “I know”, you’ll hear them go above and beyond for a track that’s been on nonstop since it got sent our way.

Just released on July 22nd, 2022, Flamingo Haze has been on an absolute tear through this year and they’re not stopping now. We covered it extensively on all the fun things they’ve got on the way in the coming months, however we’re not here to spoil, mainly because we’d prefer you check out the discussion. However, a major talking point was just how impressive it was that they were able to capture the essence of so many inspirations on “I know”. We’ve basically got the same personal taste in music, so if you’re fans of bands like Tame Impala, Bon Iver, or M83, Flamingo Haze is 100% up your alley.

As for the message of the song, it hits quite deep in terms of the context. According to David, “I Know” is a song from a friend’s perspective. It revolves around the struggle of wishing you could do more than just be a shoulder to cry on for a friend that’s either going through abuse, or mental health issues of any kind. Sadly, this problem is far too prevalent in today’s culture, and we wish we could do more.”

The song itself is so perfectly multidimensional in that it hits hard sonically, but once you uncover its true meaning, it’s worth the time and energy to go back and connect the lyrics line by line. Once again, Flamingo Haze are crushing it, and with so much more slated for release in 2022, now’s the perfect time to hop on the bandwagon. Go ahead and check out those important links below to listen, follow along, and to stay tuned for more on the way.
