Tae Lewis exceeds expectations on sweet single, "Love Gon' Missin"
On his second single of the year titled “Love Gon’ Missin”, Tae Lewis has quickly turned us into super fans with the release of this heartfelt and soulful song. Please read on for our full in-depth look into the track, as well as a background on the artist.
Sweet and sultry in its sound, “Love Gon’ Missin” was an instantly memorable song for us as it so expertly bordered the line of genre flawlessly. Mixing in a whole lot of Pop and Soul on top of a Country base, Tae Lewis has made us feel good in only a little three minutes of runtime. With help from David J and Jacob Frish on the songwriting front, we can confidently claim all the collaborators here did their best to create something that we are highly recommending all check out.
Says Tae on the inspiration for the song, “One of my exes inspired me to write this one because at one point there was no love from us and I knew our love was missing and I wanted it back but it was too far gone because she moved on to someone else." As unfortunate as the situation must have been, we can only begin to imagine the catharsis Tae must have felt after writing the song. Of course it was a great inspiration, but now that the song is live for all to listen to, we’re hoping he feels much better because of it all.
Speaking directly on the instrumentation and musical side of it at all, we felt that the overall vibe could not have fit more perfectly to the context of it at all. Instead of crafting up a “fake” sound to convey the emotion, Tae Lewis did everything in his power and vocal abilities to really let the listener know how he felt. Midway through the song and making connections within the deep lyricism, he’s got the listener wrapped around his finger as he tells his story.
With all that being said though, this was the perfect introduction to not only Tae Lewis’ music, but a slice of his life as well. Of course we’re going to suggest that you please check out this song because it’s divine in every sense of the word. You can do so by checking out the important links below, enjoy!
