Sukhmani shares stripped back single & video for "Divination"

Steeped in atmosphere and centering around her awe-inspiring vocals, Sukhmani has delivered the goods on her lo-fi track “Divination”. Paired together with a must-watch music video that we’ve included below, the entirety of this release has been nothing but flawless in our eyes. On just her second ever single, she’s managed to turn us into super fans, and we’re fairly confident the same will happen to you the moment you give a listen.
Led by a “melancholic drum loop”, but ultimately fueled by a minimalistic production, Sukhmani is so clearly giving it her all on this newest track. Following up what looks like her debut, “Ash + Bone”, she’s 2 for 2 on songs that are setting a bright base for a hopeful future in music. So much of what we enjoyed here is that “Divination” doesn’t rely on cheap gimmicks or a hyperpop sound in order to draw in the listener, everything that the track is about revolved around the focus and relaxed sensations flowing throughout.
Considering that this artist is so early on in her career, we can only make the assumption that bigger and better things are on the way, however it’s certainly going to be a difficult task to follow this up. The songwriting skills surpassed our expectations and really painted the ideal picture of the message conveyed and we’re having a tough time imagining a sound change in future works as well. Whether Sukhmani has found her rhythm in style, we’re welcoming her music with wide open arms and sincerely can’t wait to see the trajectory of where she takes it.
