Wrapping up the year on a high note, sunset + mine have beyond impressed us with their latest single, “Time & Space”. Keep reading as we share our complete thoughts on the song, as well as an update on this project.
It’s been nearly 8 months since we last reviewed the music of sunset + mine, and in that time frame, they’ve been heads down in the studio continuing to create greatness. With a single in between titled “No Longer Slaves” that’s fantastic, they’re ending their year with another mind bending listen called “Time & Space”. Similar in style to their past tracks, this one features an expansive tropical house sound that immediately immerses the listener into the relaxed vibes of it all. Undoubtedly, we’re urging everyone out there to give it a spin.
On the background of it all, the husband and wife duo have crafted this as an “electronic love song transporting the listener to a perfect sun-drenched island”. Although it may be cold and rainy where we’re currently at, truly they’ve hit the mark in making us feel like we’re lying on a sandy beach hearing the waves coming crashing in.The combination of Valerie’s silky smooth vocals that consistently hit these euphoric highs, paired with a pulsating and rhythmic production is really all you need in your life. While the song is certainly calming in most aspects, it has a little something energetic on the backend that we could surely see ourselves dancing or swaying to as well. The versatility of these tropical beats that come together with their signature essence is honestly hard to top at this point.
A major recommendation we’d make to anyone about to listen is making it basically mandatory to enjoy with a nice pair of headphones. The richness and other sonic subtleties deep down in the mix are what make this pop the most. Additionally, it absolutely helps with that feeling of being transported into another realm. Through its four minute runtime, it’s a break from the wild world we live in, and gives the opportunity to feel like you can escape. Their other singles 100% hold that quality as well, which is why we continue to love everything that sunset + mine have released thus far.
