Strange Legend provide the details on explosive self-titled album - Interview
Riding the success of their 2021 self-titled album, we got the special opportunity to sit and speak with Strange Legend all about their hard hitting music. Please check out our full interview below.
Coming together for one purpose, “to be the type of band that is not with the establishment and to grab your attention”, Strange Legend have done exactly that with their debut album. We’re firm believers that every great piece of music deserves an explanation, so it was only right that we sat down with the band to go through the finer details of the record’s creation, influences, and what may be next in terms of releases and plenty more. As much as we recommend a listen to Strange Legend, we equally suggest you don’t miss out on a killer interview.
Coming in at 6 total tracks, spanning right around 31 minutes in length, Strange Legend wastes no time whatsoever throwing the listener in the deep end with the opener “Shadows”. Jam packed with endless guitar solos, inventive bass lines, and a powerful set of vocals, we confidently felt that this set the stage for what was to come. Now as the band states that they like to keep the listener guessing and not confine themselves to genre, the rest of the record certainly follows suit with that promise. Although the rock factor stays high, there’s a consistent shift in tone and style, all the while keeping a signature sound.
While the record leans heavily into an impressive instrumentation, there are some vocal moments here that shine the brightest. You’ll also notice quickly that while each song could definitely be pulled off and playlisted, the album plays best when listened to from front to back cohesively. We’re not quite sure if there’s a start to finish story being told, but the flow in its style is there at the forefront. The listen is a shock to the senses for all the hard rock lovers, however it has an approachability to it that leaves it open who may not have ventured into the genre. Whatever label you’d like to put on it, just know that it rocks hard.
