Stacy Stone breaks out on latest single, "Enlighten Me"
Back with yet another hit, Stacy Stone is at it again on her newest single release, “Enlighten Me”. Do yourselves a huge favor and read along with us as we break down the track, as well as provide you a background on this blossoming artist.
Kicking off her career in the country music scene, Stacy Stone has opened up for mega stars such as Brett Eldridge, Lee Brice, and Thompson Square. After developing her overall sound and quickly becoming proficient in songwriting, she ditched the “girl next door” roots and has pursued a career as a pop artist. Thankfully so, because her music so far has been absolutely outstanding.
Following up her most recent released single, “Like Me”, Stacy has gone ahead and crafted yet another thought provoking and ultimately grooveable song that goes by the name of “Enlighten Me”. Out today on March 5th, this is the 6th overall release coming from the artist, and I think we can confidently all agree that she’s not only been consistent, but has improved in many ways on each subsequent release.
Now don’t get us wrong, we’re sure Stacy Stone’s country days were bright and full of equally great tunes. However, her overall vocal structure and cadence of how the songs are formed were just built for a pop feel. They’re filled with attitude and a commanding presence that not everyone is able to pull off. We did a bit of listening on what the artist has put out so far and we think to keep building on this career, the pop direction is well suited. Thankfully though, we’re not the decision makers here and we’d never want to stop an artist in their tracks from potentially throwing the fans a curveball.
All in all though, “Enlighten Me” is a definite standout in the discography of Stacy Stone and should go down as one of her best to date. While we’re early in 2021, her output has been consistent so far, and we’re really hoping that this means it’s a big lead up to something big like a cumulative EP of what’s out or what’s to come. No rush to her, as we’re more than OK with isolated single releases. In todays day and age it feels like that’s sort of the way the industry is heading. If anything, it just means more Stacy on a consistent basis.
