Alek Sandar pursues excellence on latest single, "Terra"

Here with his first original track of 2021, Alek Sandar has more than impressed with his latest, “Terra”. Brighten your day up with our review of the track, as well as a background and insight on the artist.

Born in Bulgaria, but representing the New York City music scene, Alek Sandar has been quite busy lately. Known for his musical collaborations with Juicy J, Amanda Lepore, Desi Slava, and more, the artist has been performing on TV and the radio since the age of 5. After moving to NY, he transitioned to be a part of the avant-garde club scene and worked primarily as a DJ specializing in EDM and house music.

As of recent though, he’s starred in the TV shows VIP Brother and Celebrity Big Brother in Bulgaria. Truly, this guy does it all! With a string of singles that have been nothing short of amazing, it’s no surprise that “Terra” is as good as it is either. As mentioned, he’s been busy getting his name out there and being a part of everything he can attach himself to. With the release of this latest track though, it’s as though his musicianship hopped to the next level in terms of quality, production, and uniqueness.

“Terra” is an interesting sounding single, in the sense that it has all the qualities of a top notch electronic music song, but also has the ability to double as a commendable vocal anomaly. For us, it was almost as if there were two separate songs being played at the same time. We knew that might come off as not making sense, but basically it’s as if the production and backing song could be listened to on its own, whereas we’d also want an isolated vocal track as well. The main point being here is that we truly loved the way that the overall mix came out and what the artist has done is here like no other artist.

Focusing on just the vocals for a minute, the way that Alek Sandar was able to simultaneously keep his composure and laid back vibe singing, but also inject his own version of emotion into it was what really set this off. Additionally we need to speak about the production, because it’s incredible work. The way that the sounds manage to swell in and out of the headphones makes for this truly insane cerebral effect that’s hard to put into words. It’s as if there’s waves coming in and out of your brain while listening.

We think that really the overall point here is that Alek Sandar is trying out new things and they’re all succeeding in the best ways possible. All of his work thus far has been thought provoking and original in a way that he’s not copying or creating an offshoot of every other artist out there. It’s something to behold, and at this point, we think the plan of action is to do yourselves a favor and listen as loudly as you can. Let the music flow through you and enjoy!
