Simulated Youth expands his sound on collaboration singles, "Digital Memories" & "Happy Ending"
To no surprise in the slightest, Simulated Youth is back again with a set of complex yet approachable singles titled “Digital Memories” and “Happy Ending”. Please read along as we break down our thoughts on the tracks, as well as a refresher on the artist as well.
Collaborating with Rielle and camoragi on this two song release, Simulated Youth takes us to the future with cyberpunk style and tells a “two-sided story of breaking up in a modern age where one cannot escape their past due to relentless reminders on social media”. With the highly relatable context for most people, the actual songs deliver on both originality and innovativeness as well. We are highly recommending a listen.
For those out of the loop on SImulated Youth, this artist is creating electronic music with a bit of a dark twist. While he’s surely carving out a path of his own within his sound, there’s still that sense of approachability if electronic sounds aren’t necessarily your thing. Infusing bits of himself on the personal side and lyricism make for seriously compelling and memorable singles. On “Digital Memories” and “Happy Ending” specifically, the help from Rielle and camoragi were also super appreciated.
It wasn’t too long ago that we covered his other collaboration with camoragi titled “NBT”, which was also unreal. On this single though, the two have gone buckwild within their sounds and are showing themselves like they’re at the top of their respective games. As out there in atmosphere as it is, it’s still danceable and fun; even wholesome at times as we know how difficult of a situation escaping an ex on social media can be, we’ve been there.
For fans of Alice Glass, Crystal Castles, Björk, and many more, this is definitely the type of music that’s up your alley. We’ve sincerely loved everything else that’s come from Simulated Youth in the past and this is no different. He just keeps upping his production value and the songs legitimately are rising in quality after every release. Not to overhype or anything, but the hype is certainly real. Hop into “Digital Memories” and “Happy Ending” as soon as you possibly can! Enjoy!
