With its official release date coming on July 1st, we got the incredible opportunity to sit down with J.C. Kurtis to talk all about his debut EP, The Road Home. Watch our full interview below.
Originally from Pennsylvania, J.C. Kurtis is a retired combat veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. Making music has always been a passion and it just so turns out that J.C. is as great as playing guitar as he is singing as well. In our full interview with the artist, we got the inside scoop on everything important you’ll need to know about his debut, The Road Home.
While his lead singles like “Vibrations” and “The War Rages On” have been beautiful songs to introduce yourself to his style of country music, the entirety of the EP is one of those records best listened to from start to finish. There’s an overarching message that shows itself throughout the listen, you’ve just got to open your ears and focus in on the context. What J.C. Kurtis has pulled off here is nothing short of amazing and has successfully set the base for all future musical releases to come.
Aside from the music for just a moment, getting to speak to J.C. and learning all about his upbringing and personal influences was a treat that we’ll remember forever. Speaking about his idols like Brantley Gilbert, George Strait, Kenny Rogers, and so many more gave the much needed background to really understand what he’s enjoyed in the past and what we may be able to hear sound wise in the future. Thankfully, J.C. let us know there’s plenty of songs in the bank that are going to see the light of day soon enough.
Truly, the passion and love has come through on The Road Home in an almost unexplainable way. You’ll hear for yourself once the record is out on July 1st, but the originality and overall uplifted feeling most will experience is the reason music is great. Putting out the good vibes into the universe is something J.C. wants to do in the future and we confidently believe that this is the best start.
Wrapping it up though, we sincerely hope you listen on release day, but in the meantime, make sure to check out our interview with the artist to really get to know him prior to your listen. For all things J.C. Kurtis, please check out the important links below.
