Saun Santipreecha analyzes his latest record, "Dandelye" - Interview

Fresh off the release of his 7th full length record titled Dandelye, we got the special opportunity to sit and speak with Saun Santipreecha for a full breakdown of the album. Please check out our entire interview below.

Originally from Thailand, Saun Santipreecha is an immensely talented sound artist and electroacoustic composer who has legitimately created something like we’ve never experienced before. On his newest album Dandelye, the artist immerses the listener through 35+ minutes of intense soundscapes, ASMR-esque moments, and a sound production that’s almost difficult to put into words. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our listen and can’t wait for everyone out there to give this a spin and to check out our discussion.

Describing his work as focusing on “the relationship between nature, humans and technology, exploring the space between them, the push and pull of each by the others, the manipulation of one by another” and so much more, we promise it’ll all make sense once you hit the play button. A sincere recommendation before you do so is that we urge everyone out there to check this out with a nice pair of headphones or sound system, otherwise you’d fully be missing out on the subtleties and what makes this so great. From what we understand, the creation of Dandelye took about five years of exploring and finding a path that ultimately worked.

Through six completely intricate and differing “songs”, Saun has still managed to capture a real cohesiveness about this collection. Normally we would recommend a track or two to dip your toes in, however you’d really be missing out on the full experience if you didn’t enjoy it in full. This 100% breaks the mold of our normal review, but it just goes to show you that your music doesn’t need to be mainstream or have those special hooks for it to shine in overall beauty. We promise we won’t spoil anymore for the moment, so please take our word for it and dive in headfirst.
