QYO inspires the audience on debut single, "Waiting for a Change"

Centering the song around her gorgeous vocals and a slowly building instrumentation, QYO has thoroughly impressed us with her debut single, “Waiting for a Change”. With her energy matching the likes of a Sia or Imagine Dragons live show, this artist’s grand introduction to the music world has us beyond excited to see what’s in store for the future. While QYO isn’t technically “new” to music as she’s been involved for the last five years, this is the first track under the moniker. Accomplishing feats within the pop rock and alternative rock scene is what she’s known best for and what’s garnered the following so far, but we have a feeling that once people get their ears on this track, there will be plenty more to come. Coming up in the Singapore music scene is surely going to be a precursor to what’s next.
Speaking directly on the track though, the initial listen for us had us feeling inspired and empowered by the final notes. As the instrumentation never stopped its slow build from the opening moments, QYO left us with smiles on our faces as her vocals reverberated throughout the song. Repeating over and over “Waiting for a Change” and imparting optimism on the audience is what we enjoyed most, but also just how unique her vocal delivery came out as well.
At just a little over four minutes in run time, we can absolutely see ourselves coming back to this song in moments of negativity in order to change that feeling around. We got nothing but good vibes and a positive atmosphere from this song, which is why we’ve got to highly recommend you all give it a listen. With so much talent coming from one artist, who knows what else she’s currently cooking up in her musical kitchen.
