Nieri & foreverandever<3 collaborate on a remixed version of "In Our Eyes"
As if the original wasn’t good enough already, an all new remix of Nieri’s single “In Our Eyes” has dropped and it is magnificent. Keep reading as we take a closer look into the track, in addition to a background on this artist.
While the original “In Our Eyes” was released last year in 2022, Nieri and his collaborator foreverandever<3 teamed up to bring the world something somehow more exciting, exhilarating, and dance-filled. This producer who actually had a hand in producing Nieri’s debut EP has linked back up with the artist and we can confidently claim once again that greatness has been achieved. Do yourselves a massive favor whenever you may be reading this and give both the original and this remix a spin.
Now let’s get this out of the way right at the beginning, the original version of “In Our Eyes” completely stands on its own as a certified hit. In this updated and remixed version though, there’s been a serious sense of intimacy, rawness, and plenty of lo-fi house elements that have creeped their way in. Right out of the gate, you’re slapped in the face with a bassline that reverberates through your soul from start to finish, spliced in with moments of over the top synthesizers and of course Nieri’s soulful vocals to cap it off. At right around four minutes in runtime, it’s one of the few times where we just didn’t want the feeling and endless dopamine hits to end. If for foreverandever<3 wants to hop back on this and crank out a 10 minute version, we certainly would not be opposed.
Another major standout is the versatility, depth, and complexity that’s pumping through the track. For one, it’s got that danceability as mentioned, but also has lots of downtempo qualities about it if you’re just looking to chill and have this on in the background. Seeing as though this is the first official release from Nieri in 2023, our sincere hope is that a slew of new tunes are on the way as soon as possible. Summer isn’t close where we’re located, but we know for a fact we’ll have this song in mind as the weather heats up.
