MONOCHROME over deliver on outstanding debut, "WHO WE ARE"
Over delivering on their debut single titled “WHO WE ARE”, the duo of MONOCHROME have already proven they’re a group to keep your eyes on. Please read on for our full review of the track, in addition to a background on these artists.
Made up of Alexander Fredman Forsberg and Max De Filippo, these two are now much better known as the music duo, MONOCHROME. Coming out hot with a debut single titled “WHO WE ARE”, it’s an unbelievably over the top produced track that perfectly borders the line of Hip Hop with fun electronic elements. We immediately fell in love with our first listen and we think you’re going to feel the same once you hit the play button.
Taking the best of each member’s inspirations and personal influences, it’s been a long time coming for these two to finally start making music. While Max was studying music and production, Alexander was studying film and photography. However with both their expertise and a mutual love for old school Hip Hop, it was about time they took the plunge into making original music. Thankfully they did because “WHO WE ARE” is easily one of the strongest debut singles we’ve heard. It has all the factors of something we’d consider replayable and it honestly makes you want to dance around a bit too.
Following up this song hopefully won’t take too long, because at this point, we need more MONOCHROME as soon as we can get it. As lovers of both electronic and Hip Hop separately, it’s really interesting the way that they’ve gone about creating the song structure of this track. It works perfectly in odd moments, but does the difficult job of standing out in a sea of similar songs. A recommendation we’ll make before you dive in is this is 100% a song you’ll need to listen to with a nice pair of headphones. There’s so many subtleties you might miss out on otherwise as the production here is laser focused.
