Retired physician and now talented songwriter Evan L. Lipkis MD has taken his talents and penned a compelling and vibrant new single called “We Are Here”. With help on the vocals from Elena Schafer, the two have collaborated here to create a true thing of beauty. There’s relevant stories being told, a soft acoustic production, and a real calming feeling that’s guaranteed to wash right over you. We’re overwhelmingly recommending everyone give this a listen.
While Dr. Lipkis’ only musical education has come from his mother who was an Opera singer, it very much appears that songwriting and lyricism has come quite easily to him. Following up his debut single, “The Birthday Song”, “We Are Here” is serving as a more mature approach to his growing discography. This song obviously surrounds itself with the story matter, of which we suggest you actually attempt to make the connections with. It’s meant to be a source of healing and inspiration for all who decide to hit the play button. It absolutely was for us!
It’s hard to put ourselves in the shoes of one day being a doctor and the next writing these heartfelt songs, however Dr. Lipkis has elegantly made that transition with ease. We’re extremely interested to see what else sees the light of day in the coming months and years. Additionally with the help of guest singers on his tracks, it’ll be a journey to see how he chooses and engineers the songs with the tones that these singers are able to provide. It’s not often we see this type of situation, but it’s fully piqued our interest.
