M.F. Schlotterbeck pens another beauty with country single, "The Sweetest Part"
Staying incredibly consistent on his releases, M.F. Schlotterbeck has delivered yet another instant earworm titled “The Sweetest Part”. We're loving it! Please read on for our full review of the track, in addition to a background on the artist.
Shifting his focus nowadays to become more of a songwriter, M.F. Schlotterbeck has once again brought in a stable of talented session musicians to help him finish his latest, “The Sweetest Part”. Honing in on the best parts of modern country music, we couldn’t help but instantly feel uplifted after our initial listen. The songwriting obviously came through as the highlight, but really the whole package of it all was quite memorable.
Currently being mentored by a living legend, Paul Santo (Aerosmith, Ringo Starr), we’re continuing to see the evolution of M.F.’s style. Having grown up and listened to Pop, Rock, and even some punk, he’s lent his meaningful and insightful lyrics to the country genre which seems to be a snug fit. It feels like no matter the artists that he brings in to help accompany on the instrumentation side of things, it’ll always still have that signature feel to what he’s making. We suppose any proficient artist knows to make things feel cohesive after some time.
With that being said though, his Americana songwriting feels reminiscent of some of the greats like John Mellencamp or Bruce Springsteen, but in a way that continues on in that form of sincerity and originality. Even the compositions from M.F. are impressive, yet the songwriting is legitimately the highlight. In a world right now that capitalizes so heavily on gimmicky production and overt features, “The Sweetest Part” strips things back and paints a clear picture from imagery-filled lyrics that suck you in from the get go. You can’t help but smile a bit after connecting the dots.
Lastly, this artist has tons of other originals that are absolutely worth your time to check out. We’ve made it easy and included all the important links below to listen, follow along, and stay tuned for everything else on the way. Enjoy
