Jan Sturiale mixes originals & covers on outstanding record, "In The Life"

Blowing us away with an all jazz record titled In The Life, everything about Jan Sturiale’s latest musical offering is vibrant and inspired. Please read on for our full review of the album, as well as a background on this talented artist.

Collaborating with musicians all over to create In The Life, jazz guitarist Jan Sturiale has delivered this record that features some of his own originals, as well as covers from The Beatles, Madonna, and more. From start to finish it’s an exhilarating experience to say the least, but even for the most complex lovers of the genre, you’ll undoubtedly be able to lose yourself in it. Of course we can’t help but recommend this record for a listen as soon as possible.

With the help of Francesco Bearzatti (Saxophone), Francesco De Luisa (Piano), Alessandro Turchet (Bass), and Luca Colussi (Drums), this group of artists have truly outdone themselves. Coming in at 10 songs, spanning just south of an hour in length, we found ourselves grinning from ear to ear with a sensation of relaxation washing over us at the same time. We’re all about instrumental records like these that do the difficult job of transporting us spiritually; in a way that makes us fully focus in.

Having recorded and toured with some of the biggest names in the industry like Hiram Bullock and Dean Brown, it won’t be long until Jan is a household name in the same regard. While of course the covers on here are magnificent and hold their own just on pure beauty, let’s not forget some of the originals that blend in so effortlessly. The composition is tight, well structured, and just as mind-bending as the rest of it. Plain and simple, we’ve really enjoyed our listen of In The Life, and we confidently think everyone out there will too!
