Tina Barrett comes out strong on debut single, "Lovin You Is Easy"
A debut single worth listening to 1000 times, Tina Barrett’s first delivery as a musician is called “Lovin You Is Easy” and it’s quite fantastic. Please read on for a closer look into the track, as well as a background on the artist.
Coming out as a force on the songwriting end and taking cues from the greats like Carole King and Brandi Carlile, Tina Barrett is already making a name for herself around Nashville. With her debut single “Lovin You Is Easy” just released, we can already tell right from the get go that she’s got the chops to keep up this consistency for years to come. Everything about this song for us was a healthy dose of positivity and optimism, which is why of course we’ve got to give it our recommendation.
Inspired by her father to become a musician and always having that passion to write, thankfully Tina connected the dots to start doing it professionally. At just a little under four minutes in length, the artist immediately transports the listener to this little happy world filled with personal anecdotes. While the song is semi-stripped back in the sense of instrumentation, it hardly matters, mainly because any focus taken off of her shimmery vocals or lyrics would make things a little too convoluted. The stylistic choices taken here were simplistic but adoring in a way that makes us want to give it repeated listens.
With more music set for release sometime in 2022, we’ll be patiently waiting for a follow up to this greatness. While it might be difficult to top as often debut singles are, that doesn’t mean we won’t be listening. It can’t really be overstated of the freshness that this song is exuding, which is why at this point we’ll happily point you in the direction to listen and follow along for the future.
