The Archer puts his own twist on Melody's Enemy single, "Plastic"

As if the original wasn't already amazing, The Archer has just remixed Melody’s Enemy’s single “Plastic”. Do yourselves a favor and read our thoughts on the track, as well as a background on this impending project.

Growing as quickly as ever, There Is A Light Records should be incredibly proud of their artists considering they continue to build on each others’ work. With an all new EP titled Plastic on the way, which will consist of individual remixes from artists like Cocodrills and this one from label founder The Archer, big things are in the works for 2023. If this is your first foray into the music they’ve been pumping out, we can think of no better place to start than here.

For the techno and deep house lovers out there, we can virtually confirm you’ve just found your new favorite artists. Melody’s Enemy single handedly crushed it on the original version of this song as it’s got that perfect tempo and hypnotizing effect from beginning to end, however The Archer has latched on and given this a depth and complexity that we didn’t know was possible. From the opening notes and on, immediately you’re immersed into a frenzy of infinite sounds, ideas, and motifs that come swirling across your headphones, reaching great new heights as a lover of all things production and attention to detail. Although he’s a relative newcomer to the genre in terms of creation, that hasn’t stopped them in the slightest of making a name for themselves. Truly, all it takes is one great remix to get your name in the discussion, and this version of “Plastic” could certainly be the pivotal point.

Like so many slightly similar sounding songs within the genre, it’s got that versatility and club capability about it that makes you want to play it all times of the day. With that being said, we’ve quickly found that this song doesn’t get too outrageous, ultimately meaning we’re going to be finding ourselves playing it at the most opportune times. It’s got that spark and energy about it that makes you want to smile, move around, and explore the rest of what the EP has to offer. Thankfully it’s not too far off, so please check out those links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with all major releases and information.
