For those somehow unfamiliar with the work of Marc Oliver, he’s been inundated with the music industry for over 25 years at this point. As a singer, songwriter, and so much more, this San Diego-based artist has quite the release schedule ahead of him, but is planning to lead things off with a genre-blended single titled “Outlaw” and a wonderful music video to accompany it. Our chat with Marc served as the perfect intro to his many accomplishments and to hear about what else is on the way.
Considering he’s been involved with music since the young age of 3 years old when his mom invested in piano lessons, something clearly took place because he’s been on the musical path ever since. Most of his tunes are generally rooted in R&B and alternative, but there’s always a ton of experimentation that comes to play, so don’t be surprised if glimmers of rock and pop show themselves as well. In fact, it was a major talking point of our conversation and a real futuristic look of what we could hear in the future. With a ton of singles and music videos currently in the works, now’s the perfect time to follow along to see how he follows up “Outlaw”.
With the music video dropping on July 8th and the official single set for release on July 15th, we’ll make sure to update once the video goes live. Marc gave us the play by play on its creation, but in our opinion, it’s easily one of the most fun and fitting videos that we’ve seen in a while. Not to spoil, but it borders on a cinematic experience due to the way it was filmed and the cinematography of it all. Once it gets shared, it’s not to be missed, in addition to his debut album coming later this summer.
