Lyle Oliver goes full Rock & Roll on uptempo single, "Let Me In"

Livening things up and going straight rock and roll, Lyle Oliver’s latest “Let Me In” is a total hit from start to finish. Please read on for a closer look at the track, as well as a much needed update on the artist.

Staying ever consistent in his releases and always keeping us guessing as to what genre he’s going to conquer next, Lyle Oliver’s newest musical endeavor has consisted of rocking Americana. The track is called “Let Me In” and ultimately has seductive undertones as it’s a song about “sex, flirtation, and desire”. Being a storyteller first and foremost, Lyle lays out the situation between guy and girl, all the while keeping the instrumentation bright and with a thick vibrance throughout. To no surprise in the slightest, we’ve got to continue to recommend his tunes, so if this is your introduction, do yourselves a huge favor and listen.

As the summer months creep around the corner, at least in our neck of the woods, it’s uptempo tracks like these that will certainly be at the top of our playlist. You instantly envision yourself cruising down the highway without a care in the world as “Let Me In” blasts in the background setting the tone for your positive day. Right from the get go, Lyle treats the listener to an always inventive instrumental that plays perfectly to his versatile vocals. Having listened to everything else he’s made, he really can bend his cadence whether it’s country, true Americana, or a complete rocker like this one.

We could talk about how lush “Let Me In” sounds all day long, but we’ve got to give it up for the songwriting and production as well. There’s a degree of professionalism that Lyle always gives off in his writing that lets you know this is coming from him, but the more that gets shared, the more impressive the final products become. The catalog that he’s amassing is growing every couple months at this point, which is why it’s been such a thrill to be able to cover his music, in addition to interviewing him multiple times. As mentioned, if for some reason you’ve yet to let the music of Lyle Oliver into your life, we highly suggest starting off with “Let Me In” as a proper intro. It serves as an all encompassing listen that’ll have you prying into the rest of his discog for more.
