Luke Wood gets personal on intimate track, "Not Yet"

Captivating listeners across the globe with his mix of rock, blues, and country, Alabama native Luke Wood is taking a late 90’s influence and mixing in his own brand of uniqueness into the equation. His songwriting and lyricism is directly related to his real life experiences, which come through clear as day as on this smooth and sultry new single, “Not Yet”.
Jam packed with emotion and imagery filled story telling, Luke has allowed the audience to easily connect with the content that he’s just put out. Taking it down a notch on “Not Yet” is a sound that’s openly welcomed. On this stripped back instrumentation and ultimately intimate new single, Luke invites the listener to gather round and listen to him strum his guitar and tell his stories. It’s the type of listen that requires a dedicated focus, but one that’s sure to win over the listener nearly immediately.
After returning to songwriting in 2016 after a short break, Luke Wood rekindled his love for music and songwriting that has now grown to a handful of releases since then. While music can certainly be a complicated subject of sorts, one that can get overbearing to listen to and complicated to create, we’re beyond thrilled that the artist is back in action and putting out wholesome music just like this. If it hasn’t already been implied to the reader, but “Not Yet” is easily a song we can recommend, in addition to an artist that’s got a backlog of music worth digging into as well.
Seeing as though this was our first introduction to the music of Luke Wood, he’s got music dating back to the mid 2000’s that we’re definitely going to give a shot as well. If this track is any indication, it’s looking like there’s plenty of gems to uncover throughout his impressive discography. For now though, we suggest a listen of “Not Yet” to introduce yourselves.
