Dirtycakes recall the creation of latest track, "In The Garden (Whisper Version)"
With yet another track released that has blown out our wildest expectations, Dirtycakes are here with the latest, “In The Garden (Whisper Version)”. We spoke with Charles Tichenor of the band who gave us all the necessary info on the newest single. Watch our full interview below.
As hard rocking as Dirtycakes typically are, they took us by a bit of a surprise on this latest output with “In The Garden''. While you’ll have to listen for yourselves to get the full feeling, this single is like nothing else they’ve ever put out. In our full interview with Charles Tichenor, he broke down all you need to know about the track including its origins and processes.
Now compared to what the band usually puts out, “In The Garden” is certainly a slight departure in sound. Normally you can expect a pedal to the metal approach in terms of a two to three minute track that gives it its all and does not let up. However in this scenario, the band has produced a bit of a slow burner that challenges the listener to not only let themselves loose, but to pay a little extra attention to the grooves in the middle.
You may recall, but it’s been a few months since we last covered Dirtycakes and their last official release for “Gimme Some (An Ode To Craving)”. Since then we’ve just been absolutely begging for another release and we’re beyond thrilled that the band has listened and done so. Recorded presumably during the same sessions, “In The Garden” takes the listener on a musical journey and experience that can be described as a psychedelic trip.
While we would adore for you to watch our full interview with Charles, the real priority here is to dig into the music as it is truly something special on this particular output. We won’t give too much away at this point, but we’re pretty sure there’s more coming, something in the form of a full record as well. Whatever Dirtycakes chooses to release, we will 100% be tuned in and listening.
With that being said, we’ve included all the important links listed below in order for you to listen and follow along with the band’s every move. It shouldn’t be too long until the next release sees the light of the day, so until then, get caught up on their growing discography.
