Lucy Lane excels on lyric positive debut single, "I'm Not Coming"

Back at it with a provocative new single titled “I’m Not Coming”, Lucy Lane has infused all sorts of meaning into this dance-centric song. Read on for a closer look at the track, as well as a background on the artist.

Just in time for National Orgasm Day, Lucy Lane has given the world a lyrically and sexually positive new song titled “I’m Not Coming”. We encourage all to use their imaginations as to its meaning, but honestly, listening to the song once should sum that up real quick. Through evocative vocal deliveries, a stellar production, and so many more facets of artistry, Lucy has nailed the release of this song. Needless to say, we’re highly recommending a listen for all!

After teaching herself how to produce music in her bedroom throughout the pandemic, believe it or not, this is actually Lucy’s debut single. For a first song to come from an artist and it sound this good is hard to believe, but we say that with the utmost confidence that you’re going to love it and be impressed. On the background of the track, Lucy says, “‘I’m Not Coming’ is a reminder for everyone—of all ages, genders and sexual orientations—to clearly communicate our desires and heal the wounds that have caused us to fight or flee from our fully realised sexual selves. I’m so excited to finally release this song. If it helps one person feels less alone in their sexual journey, whatever that might look or feel like, I’m happy.”

Taking the message aside for even just a moment, we have to compliment Lucy on her phenomenal song structure, as well as the confidence that she exudes from line to line. We can already envision ourselves singing this on a long car ride, sending to friends who we know will love it, and many more situations. It holds a versatility to it in the sense that we see ourselves coming back to it for a dose of energy and really just to feel good about ourselves! The message is ultimately positive and for some, it’s a conversation they may need to have. Seriously though, this has us begging for a sophomore single from Lucy, hopefully sooner rather than later!
