9 o'clock Nasty return with anthemic rocker, "I'm Bent"
Staying ever prolific in their releases, 9 o’clock Nasty have made a quick return with another wonderful track they’ve titled “I’m Bent”. Please read on for a complete review of the track, as well as an update on the artists.
In case you’ve been out of the loop, we’ve been fans of Leicester-based band 9 o’clock Nasty for quite some time now. Having reviewed them in the past, one thing’s for certain, this group of guys are having the time of their lives and the music speaks for itself. On their newest song “I’m Bent”, it quickly shows itself as an anthemic straightforward rocker that we’ve been seriously enjoying since it got sent our way. Do yourselves all a favor and please give this one a listen whenever possible.
One thing we need to mention generally about 9’oclock Nasty is that their artwork for their singles is always perfectly over the top and interesting to the eye. As they typically serve as the first impression for what to expect, we always know we’re in for a good time when we get the initial glimpse. As for the “I’m Bent”, well, once again the band has delivered an in your face shout out loud piece of punk that’s burned into our brains for the foreseeable future. We mentioned it in our last review, but the transition to a live setting of witnessing this could not be better for a song composed just like this.
Says the band on their description of the song, it’s a “bizarre mix of drunken Roxy Music and sober Nirvana kick their way out of the speakers, lick your face and steal your beer.” There’s no way we could describe it better than they could, but that’s because it’s perfect. Through loud shouts, head banging, crunchy guitars, and an immense enthusiasm, this song is ideally tailored for a night out on the town. Whether you’re gearing up to go out or coming back from a wild night, let “I’m Bent” serve as the theme song to your evening and life.
If for some reason you’ve yet to dig into the band’s music, now’s the time to do so. We’ve included the important links below to listen, follow along, and to keep up with all future releases.
