Lee Trent reinvents himself on stunning single, "Optimism"
Reinventing himself on a debut single titled “Optimism”, Lee Trent has come out immediately on a hot streak. Please read on for our in-depth review of the track, in addition to a background on this artist.
Lee Trent, formerly known as Trent Woods, is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter currently representing the Nashville music scene. Years and years of playing live and a name change later, he’s crafted together an immaculate debut titled “Optimism” that “emphasizes the feeling of being humble with love and happiness when finding that special person after soul searching”. We’ve fallen in love with the sound and message of this song.
Released officially on January 1st, 2022, Lee is kicking things off in a big way and putting his best foot forward towards a glorious continuation of his musical career. In fact, midway through our initial listen, we had the overwhelming hope flow through us that more would come in 2022. With stunners like this coming, here’s to the hope he’s got more from the old and new fans.
As for the actual song, well, so much of what we enjoyed on this one was the implementation of genre diversity. While it starts off feeling like a classic ballad, it slowly yet swiftly transforms itself into this multidimensional track that takes on a bunch of life forms. With that being said though, Lee’s vocals provide the much needed consistency throughout the song that was much needed given its tone and messaging.
Although the uplifting nature of the song continues to be relevant, we also need to point out the instrumentation and production techniques that brought everything together effortlessly. Though they fall in the background compared to the lyrics and vocals, they provided the healthy backbone any song like this needs! For a revitalization of this artist’s music, we can confidently call it a winner.
