Leah Senior delivers "With Or Without Me" ahead of 3rd LP, The Passing Scene

Article by Austin Sher

Ahead of her third full length album, titled The Passing Scene, Leah senior has released the third and possibly last single from the record, “With Or Without Me”. Read on for our opinion on how we think the album is going to play out.

“With Or Without Me” comes just two weeks before the release of The Passing Scene, and from what we’ve heard so far with the release of the first two singles, “Evergreen” and “Graves”, this is looking to be one of Flightless Records’ biggest records of the year.

Considering it’s been three long years since the release of Pretty Faces, we were thrilled to hear the announcement that Leah Senior was back for more. Seeing as the single “Graves” was released back in 2018, it’s apparent that Senior has been working on the record for quite some time. I can always respect when an artist takes their time and doesn’t rush releases. Take your time and let the music come to you instead of forcing it.

After evaluating all three of the singles to be released thus far, the album feels like it’s going to be a lot lighter and breezier than Pretty Faces. Not to say that Pretty Faces was overly serious and didn’t have fun, because it did, but rather a change in direction is welcomed. We all need lighter and breezier feelings in our life right now and if can Leah Senior can help deliver those, then all the power to her!

In addition to the incredible songs that have been put out, in typical Flightless Records fashion, there’s a fantastic limited version of her vinyl record that can be pre-ordered through Flightless’ website. Unfortunately you’ll have to wait until June 5th to do so, but in the meantime we can happily explain what you’ll be receiving. Here’s what’s included:

‘Olive Green’ - Limited to 1000 copies world-wide

- Lenticular cover (reflective quad combo image)

- Deluxe olive green wax

- 140-160 gram 12" 33rpm vinyl

- Record sleeve comes packaged in a custom paper bag

- Download card

Needless to say, we’re super excited for not only the vinyl itself, but to hear the rest of what’s going to be a fantastic and instant classic record!
