As a direct descendant of Zeta Burns, the Hillbilly and yodeling superstar, Kyan Burns has certainly taken a different approach to genre, but the talent still runs deep in the family. There was definitely some trauma experienced, which is what spurred the creation of this song, but ultimately we hope that Kyan has felt filled with confidence due to its release. To know that so many around the world are going to listen and feel safe due to her words, that’s got to be one of the most fulfilling feelings ever as an independent artist.

Through melodies that are hard hitting and Kyan’s vocals which shine the brightest, we’ve also got to give Boffa credit where it’s due for his verse and inclusion. We’ll admit that it was unexpected when he came in, due to it slightly changing the tone of the listen, but it honestly added an element that only helped the entirety of the song.
