King JBoi breaks down his life experiences & new single, "Got Mine Too" - Interview
Fresh off the release of his latest big hit called “Got Mine Too”, we got the major opportunity to sit and speak with King JBoi to learn all the details surrounding the song. Check out our full interview below.
After having made a name for himself in Memphis where he was born and raised, King JBoi has been on an absolute tear creatively while starting organizations, making music, and creating positive differences within his community. While of course we want to focus on his newest single “Got Mine Too”, getting to hear his immense story during our interview was a total pleasure. We recommend exploring his discography, but after getting to learn about the artist himself too.
Racking up accolades all over the place, King JBoi founded an organization by the name of L.i.E (Loyalty is Everything) in 2006 and later founded King JBoi INC in 2020. Eventually, that evolved into L.i.E. Entertainment in 2010, and currently operates under both umbrellas (L.i.E Entertainment & King JBoi INC). King JBoi also has various businesses and a 501c3 nonprofit for disadvantaged athletes in urban communities. What we learned was incredible, but mainly that he’s so much more than just his music and actually a stand up human being too.
While his discography continues to grow, so much of what we’ve enjoyed about his music as a whole is his quest to always innovate and experiment. His life experiences are second to none and really show the full gravity of the stories he’s telling. All the while the production and instrumentation on his music becomes the standout, it’s really marvelous to be able to listen from the beginning and experience the sonic evolution of his sound.
It really can’t be emphasized enough, but King JBoi opened our eyes and our world into his life that we couldn’t possibly imagine before talking to him. Having had that conversation, it elevated his music into something greater and ultimately has us super excited to see where his blossoming music career goes from here. Truly, we can’t wait for everyone to get their ears on his newest song, but to further explore the rest of his hits too.
