Freshly released on April 13th, 2022, “Embrace The World” is an offering that serves as a “gesture of hope for autism awareness in the community for Ireland and beyond”. With the help of collaborators on the song that include Emma Langford, Ger O’Hanlon, Lisa Curran, Molly Lynch, Rebecca Houlihan, Stephen Gormley, Caroline Kay and Mark Daly, this song is vibrant right from the start. Together, Kevin and company have completed a highly emotional song that holds a strong message right from the start.
It wasn’t an easy journey for Kevin Walsh as he was diagnosed with autism at the young age of 5. At the moment though, it appears he’s beaten the odds and has solidified himself as a professional musician in regards to releasing this star studded single. According to Keviin on the background of the track, “by embracing widely different vocal styles within our super group performance, I wanted to allude to the variety within Autistic diagnosis, as each person on the spectrum is an individual with different support needs and ranges of abilities”.
Ultimately, “Embrace The World” is a vocal forward song that relies heavily on imagery-filled lyricism. On the instrumentation, we confidently think the stylistic decision to keep things in the background was the right decision because it could have otherwise taken away from the deep and meaningful messages. Considering there’s so much talent jam packed into just one song, everyone gets their individual moment to shine and Kevin acts as the head of the pack pulling the strings to make this pure beauty come alive. We feel that the more you listen, the more you’ll come to resonate with a strong message that holds weight for the future of our world.
