Kelaska gets her revenge on upbeat & vibrant single, "Honey"
On her third single release of 2022, Kelaska may have just delivered her best yet with “Honey”. We’re loving it! Do yourselves all a favor and please read on for a closer look into the track, in addition to a background on this emerging artist.
Currently representing the music scene in Connecticut, Kelaska is a singer and songwriter who’s been amassing quite the following as of late. As she continues to blend and infuse so many sonic elements into her music, she’s done it again on the fresh release of “Honey”. Featuring expansive synthesizers, atmospheric production, and of course her silky smooth vocals, we’ve got no choice but to confidently urge everyone out there give this a spin as soon as possible.
In the world of indie pop nowadays, it feels as though everything is becoming a recycled version of others’ sounds and styles. Where Kelaska breaks the mold is her signature essence of clever lyrics and imagery-filled storytelling, not to mention the sincerity she gives off in her vocal delivery. On the background of “Honey”, she’s put the message out there that it’s “the feeling of sweet revenge that everyone can relate to”. If someone has ever wronged you or put you in a vulnerable situation, there’s a great chance that subconsciously or not you’ve wanted to feel happy in their misery. That’s basically the premise of it all, and having been there ourselves plenty of times, it’s a song that we’ll undoubtedly be coming back to when that experience arises.
Taking the message aside though, she really has composed something special here that fits snugly within her rapidly growing discography. We took the opportunity to explore her other released songs this year like “Tightrope” and “Long Way Home”, which quickly had us feeling like she’s setting herself up for a prosperous future. Through groovy rhythm sections and the constant experimentation within her overall sound, we’re sincerely looking forward to what else is on the horizon. If for some reason you’re just now finding out about the music of Kelaska, you’re welcome, and please do a little exploration of your own.
With all that being said, we’ve included the important links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with all major news on the way. Enjoy!
