KAŚKA previews high-powered single "getaway" off upcoming album
Freshly released to the world, KAŚKA is ending the year on a serious high note with an all new single titled “getaway”. We’re loving this one! Read on for our full review of the track, in addition to a much needed background on the artist.
For those out of the loop, KAŚKA is a Polish vocalist, producer and mixing engineer based in London. Inspired by some of the genre’s finest like Agnes Obel, James Blake and Submotion Orchestra, she’s delicately creating atmospheric soundscapes that feature her silky smooth vocals to round everything out. We were quickly impressed by this song and confidently feel that all listeners, new or old, will feel the same once they click the play button.
With a full album on the way that she’s been working on for a year and a half, this was the ideal “hype” track to really get the people excited for what’s to come. While everything going on in the song is undeniably crisp and clean sounding, so much of its greatness lies in those production effects that took “getaway” from good to great. Seriously, our sincere recommendation here would be to give this a listen with a nice pair of headphones in order to not miss any of the subtleties within the mix.
Looking at her discography and seeing she’s been consistent in single releases over the past couple years, we can only imagine the hard work that’s been going into a full record. What we loved so much about this song that we hope translates to the rest was its double appeal to come off as both a song to dance to and one to vibe to. She’s bordering the line of genres to the point where music lovers across the spectrum could pick out something to adore. Truly, there isn’t a single negative we found after multiple listens.
