Josh Roberts pairs "Keep Up" with a lush new music video
Released in 2020, but finally getting the music video treatment, Josh Roberts’ latest musical adventure “Keep Up” is a can’t miss. Read on for a closer look at the track and a much needed refresher on the artist.
For those out of the loop on Josh Roberts, he’s an independent pop artist and songwriter currently based out of Nashville, TN. While he’s been on our radar for quite some time, and even stopped by for an interview, it’s always a great day when we see that he’s put out new music. The song is called “Keep Up”, and it’s as groovy as ever, but the music video he’s shared alongside it brings a much needed visual representation into the mix.
Right from the start, Josh kicks the grooves up and puts this funk forward track right where it needs to be. Leading with his wholesome vocals, he’s generously backed up by a sea of instrumentation that doesn’t stop sharing the energy even for a lonesome moment. Now while we’ve got the feeling you’ll be plenty enthused by just listening to “Keep Up” on its own, the fact that Josh went through the troubles of pairing it with a video means your listen wouldn’t be complete without a view. We won’t spoil now and ruin the surprise, but as far as music videos go, it’s top tier!
Going forward, we sincerely hope to see more original releases coming from Josh Roberts at some point this year. Clearly he’s been busy on the visual side, but after getting to know him a bit in our interview, he’s definitely the type of artist that doesn’t stop creating. His overall sound and style is quite ambiguous, which we think is a definite plus for changing and evolving in the future. With that being said though, the funk aspect on “Keep Up” is so infectious, we surely wouldn’t mind an EP or even a full length record of dance-laden tracks just like this.
For now, please do yourselves all the favor of giving “Keep Up” a proper listen and viewing. Additionally, you can follow along with Josh on his social media by clicking the links below. There’s plenty to come, so don’t miss out!
