An absolutely jam-packed delivery of infinite sights, sounds, and so much more, Jaron and Jedwill have just completed their collaboration on a single titled “ONCE”. Read on as we break down our thoughts, as well as a background on these artists.

Released via their own imprint called Modern Art, Jaron has launched his 2023 into the stratosphere with an outrageous audible experience called “ONCE”. With help on the track featuring another talented artist named Jedwill, the two have certifiably infused a massive amount of genres into one complex and short lived listening experience. It’s almost difficult to put labels on it, but we’re urging everyone out there to give it a shot and share your opinions.

At only 20 years old, it’s actually astonishing that any one person would be able to create something like this, let alone continuing to make a name for themselves in the world of experimental music. It all stems from refusing to be pigeonholed into one more genre, which in today’s musical landscape completely makes sense. However, this a legitimate masterclass in production and breaking the mold of what people think is either “normal” or mainstream. With an edge and homage featuring little glimmers of emo and punk rock, we felt that the electronic portions completely overtook that and gave it its signature essence and feel. The consistent bursting sounds leading to musical euphoria were unexpected, but it’s exactly why Jaron’s name continues to be thrown around in the mix.

At just two and a half minutes of runtime, normally we’d be advocating for something longer, but seriously there’s so much happening at once, it’s impressive that he was able to fit everything in the first place. There’s a truly specific vision here that’s being accomplished, and while we haven’t yet had the opportunity to explore more of Jaron’s music, this is all the reason in the world to keep searching and digging. We’re fans of everything experimental and electronic and “ONCE” is the perfect definition and hybrid of those sounds. If you’re looking to get a bit out of your comfort zone and experience something new and exciting, look no further than this.
