Jack Byron inspires on his feel good single, "Say Goodbye"
Making his return in 2022 with something new, we’re welcoming Jack Byron and his single “Say Goodbye” back with open arms. Please read on for an in-depth look at the track, in addition to a much needed background on this artist.
For this Chicago-based singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, it appears as though he’s only built off his already genre-bended sound, transcending into something even more special. Jack Byron is back with a new one titled “Say Goodbye” that’s filled to the brim with passion, emotion, and a bit of grit to it as well. If for some reason this is only your introduction to the artist, we’ve quickly found this to be an ideal entry point into the rest of his tunes. Needless to say though, we’re highly recommending you give this one a listen as soon as possible.
Jack’s roots are quite vast in the sense that he’s making a little bit of everything that spans from Folk to Motown to Country. On this newest musical effort though, we were instantly overwhelmed with a ton of classic rock and Americana elements that stuck around until the final notes. One of the things that we haven’t been able to shake though was a real nostalgic atmosphere that came bursting through in his vocals. His voice certainly has that raspiness to it that gives it an edge, but also made us long for the past. There’s tons of decade-spanning moments that show themselves on “Say Goodbye” and it’s a tune that could’ve been released in the mid-70’s and been just as popular.
While the influences run deep on this one, Jack has still managed to infuse a ton of his own personality and original feel to the song. It’s no surprise that the upbeat instrumentation feels like the beating heart of the track, but where the sincerity comes from is in his delivery. We implore the listeners to make a connection within the lyricism, because there’s a really great story being told as well. On the surface this could come off as an inspired rock track, but it becomes a whole package of greatness once you consider everything else that’s involved.
