Henka delivers big on striking single & video for "Fading Out"

From the genius mind of Cat Pereira comes her relatively new solo project titled Henka. With one single under her belt already called “Pedestal”, she powerfully followed it up with an explosive new song called “Fading Out” that holds all the emotion and suspense you could possibly want as a listen. Inspired by powerhouse musicians like Halsey, Bjork, and those alike, she’s still managed to create something entirely new and fresh feeling. Without a doubt, we’re highly recommending everyone hit the play button.
Bridging the gap between alternative and dark pop, meanwhile effortlessly infusing a strong electronic production and endless catchy moments, there’s sincerely no negatives to point out here. Accompanied by a cinematic masterpiece of a music video which further elevates the greatness of “Fading Out”, it’s really a complete package that we’d urge everyone to enjoy in full. Though the production and instrumental end continues to hit you in the face with inventiveness and more, Henka didn’t lack in the slightest either lyrically. On the background of it all, she says that this song is about “going through the painful process of healing after heartbreak and it brings something new to the table”. Chances are we’ve all experienced this situation in some capacity, giving us some familiarity with the subject matter, yet still the artist here goes above and beyond in explaining it in a way that doesn’t feel reused or recycled.
Considering that she’s still in the very early stages of her hopefully fruitful career, it’s hard to deny that what we’re hearing isn’t fantastic. The music itself is progressive and full of interesting sights and sounds, there’s a cinematic edge that’s been brought to the visual aspects, and her vocals have fully resonated with us. They’ve brought a nice complexity and clearly Henka has the dynamic range to pull off even more impressive performances in the future.
