Sylfronia King previews her debut record with sweet single, "Heartbreak"
Beginning the rollout of her all new album, consider us thrilled as Sylfronia King has just shared the lead single, “Heartbreak”. Keep reading as we take a closer look into the track, in addition to a much needed background on this artist.
For those potentially out of the loop, Sylfronia King is an immensely talented and multi-dimensional artist who’s effortlessly creating exciting and powerful music. Consistently, she’s blending together a ton of different genres that span to contemporary pop, rock, soul, and so much more. With her new record Heartbreak currently in the works, she’s just unleashed the lead single and title track of the same name and we sincerely haven’t been able to turn it off. Of course, we’re urging everyone out there to give it a spin as soon as you can.
On the background of it all, the title “Heartbreak” certainly does a great job of serving as a precursor of what to expect. However, Sylfronia says the story goes that “I was dating and I met someone who I fell in love with. We made love then he told me he didn’t know about me anymore after learning about my health concerns”. It might not sound like it due to the seriously euphoric instrumentation, but Sylfronia has done something special here and juxtaposed a relatively sad story with an upbeat sound. As fantastic as the song turned out, we’d still recommend that listeners take the time to connect the dots within her lyricism, as she’s quickly proven herself to be more than just a proficient storyteller. There’s a genuine and non-manufactured feel that “Heartbreak” gives off, further building up our hype for whatever else the full record has to offer.
On the instrumental end, that’s definitely where this song sucks you in the most. While her vocals are absolutely the star of the show (that’s hard to deny), the sweet and soulful infusions of the genre make it pop as well. It’s got all the building blocks of a perfect pop and rock track, but considering the artist’s background, you’ll also experience a ton of world beat rhythms that seemingly span the globe. It’s about as well rounded of a song as you can create, and with that, once again we’re so ready for the crowd to hit the play button.
