For Tuesday & Emorie collaborate on impactful single, "Grow This Garden"

Detailing an impactfully important story that both For Tuesday and collaborator Emorie encountered, we’re loving their newest single “Grow This Garden”. Please read on for a closer look into this single.

It’s unbelievable that a single day in our lives can have such surprising outcomes for the future. In the case of collaborators For Tuesday and Emorie, they experienced just that and of course had to detail the journey on an atmospheric and imagery-filled song called “Grow This Garden”. This was our introduction to both artists, however they’ve truly impressed us with this output, and we confidently think you’ll feel the same.

On the background of the track, the band says, “This is the story of a profoundly impactful encounter Emorie and I had with a remarkable man. Naed was a devotee of the Catholic Worker Movement, living intentionally in poverty to work charitably within his impoverished neighborhood. A single day with him inspired us to strive for the kind of love and mercy he gave to others, love which he attributed solely to the grace of God, the “tears of amazing grace” which watered his beloved community garden”.

After experiencing such a profound moment with this individual, the obvious next step was to craft this beautiful track in memoriam of him. You can actually hear him singing at the end of the track jointly on a hymn that was secretly recorded. While it may have been unintentional at the time, it honestly feels so genuine having that moment to cap things at the end of this already powerful track. Instrumentally, things are quite minimalistic as the song revolves around the deep lyricism, but without a doubt it’s jam packed with emotion from start to finish.

As this was our intro to For Tuesday, we’re extremely interested in exploring the rest of their discography to further get a vibe for what their music is all about. It feels like religion plays a significant part in their messaging, which is completely fine, however we’d want to explore what other genres they cover. Consider us perfectly overwhelmed with the amount of passion provided here, we think everyone’s going to thoroughly enjoy this one given the context.
