Shambertans bring the high energy on eclectic EP, "Symptoms of the Fear"
Sharing an incredibly eclectic EP filled with wonderful rhythms throughout, we’re absolutely loving Shambertans’ latest offering, Symptoms of the Fear. Read on for our glowing review of the record, as well as a background on this burgeoning band.
Currently representing the Cambridge music scene in the UK, Shambertans have consistently been on the up and up in their local music scene. With the fresh release of Symptoms of the Fear, they’re aiming to further expand the base they’ve created. Let us confidently say right now that this is definitely one of the more fun Pop/Rock EP’s we’ve heard in quite some time. Plain and simple, we are loving it!
Coming in at four total tracks, spanning right around 14 minutes in runtime, Shambertans left nothing to the imagination for either the current or new listener. Focusing heavily on melodic vocals and a certain wall of sound energy that reverberates right from the get go, we found Symptoms of the Fear to be the exact jolt of power we really needed in our lives. Spread across these tracks, the band brings joy and a signature sound that we sincerely hope they carry to whatever’s next for them.
As this was our introduction to the band as a whole, it’s going to be an interesting journey for sure to see how their sound and style has evolved since they first started out. It feels like there’s been an evolution, but without a doubt, we 100% vibe with what they’ve put out. Additionally, our initial reaction to the EP was just how perfect this would translate in a live setting. It’s got that aura to it that feels like a crowded venue would eat it up immediately. Our standout was “Reason Into One”, mainly for the fact that it’s the definition of an anthemic song. Once you listen, you’ll quickly find yourselves imagining singing back the lyrics to the band at one of their sold out shows.
Let us not spoil anymore for you, rather point you in the direction to get listening as soon as you possibly can! We’ve included the links below to do just that, plus you can follow along and stay tuned for whatever else they’ve got cooking up for 2022. Get into it and enjoy!
