Emilia Tarrant delivers big on her debut EP, "Honeymoon Phase"
After her series of isolated single releases, Emilia Tarrant has just put forth the full collection of tracks on her EP, Honeymoon Phase. Please read on for full review of the record, as well as a background on the artist.
At only 19 years old, Emilia Tarrant is already making massive waves within her respective genre. Having started playing piano at age 12 and beginning to write her own songs, we’re beyond thrilled with how wonderful her EP Honeymoon Phase turned out. Busting with vibrant sounds and packed with imagery-filled lyricism, it would be in your best interest to get into this record and artist immediately.
Seeing success with each and every single she put out prior to the EP and getting added to notable global playlists, we truly can’t say we’re surprised with that outcome. At just 4 songs total, running just around 16 minutes in length, Emilia’s ability to capture the listener was seemingly effortless. Taking influences from Moby, Coldplay, and so many more, her own signature style cuts right through in an instant and really makes her stand out from the rest of the pack who are making similar sounding songs.
For us, it was really the complete package of the EP rollout that sold us the most. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to the singles one by one, but the entire cohesive experience of listening start to finish is something we didn’t really expect. The vibrato of her vocals were even more impressive, yet the subject matter came through with a bigger punch after immersing ourselves in the listen. Seeing as though Emilia is so early on in her career and is able to create such greatness like this EP, it’s going to be a true pleasure to see what else comes from her in the future months and years.
What can you expect on this record is a somewhat somber but inspiring performance. Honeymoon Phase is sure to have you feeling optimistic by the end, that’s just a fact, but the ride to get there is going to be the most enjoyable part.
